Okay so I am in a band officially now. Kind of a funny thing considering we got together playing rockband and we are all computer majors haha. But whatever works right? So today's new activity is putting together our first song. This of course is a rough draft as we have not added the drums or the guitar solo, but for now I am pretty excited about this. IT WAS EXTREMELY FUN. We are really excited to put the rest of it together to show everyone a final product. I put our band name down as Amathia. They don't agree with that lol but for now it will suffice because I had to put something. Might change when we have a official song. Also played catch on the Bentley greenspace with Conner. DAY 5
My Band's First Song

DAY 4
Gotye Concert
Alright so last night was the Gotye concert with Kimbra opening and joining for the main song "Somebody That I Use To Know." Kimbra put on an average performance which wasn't to exciting to me. However when Gotye came on it was WAY better than expected. He is one hell of a musician. Drums, keyboard, vocals, guitar, and a million other instruments I can't name and he was playing them. And amazingly. He is classified as alternative, but I would put most of his songs in the experimental category. Overall an amazing job and alot of fun being part of it. Also got a clip of the most popular song below. Enjoy!

DAY 3
The Hunger Games
Okay, sometimes this stuff has to be pretty easy. Seeing a "new" movie is something new. And since its the first movie I saw with my friends at school that is "new" and it was at a movie theater I have not been to which is also "new." All in all this counts. The theater was quite interesting, Fresh Pond Cinema was clearly not the most professional/classy theater I have been to, but we had some fun making fun of it. In the end it did the job. As for the movie I have to say I am a fan. I will most definitely be back for the second and thirds movies of the trilogy. And if I ever find some time maybe even read the first book. But I will not spoil the movie if anyone is reading this haha. 5 stars for me.
Don't worry day 4 has something a bit more interesting than a new movie, at least for me. Music is the hint.

DAY 2
Juggling
Alright this one was more difficult than I expected as well, but as you will see in my videos I did improve a slight bit. I might keep doing this in the upcoming days until I figure it out. Have to say though trying to juggle with people around is much more exciting because you laugh when you mess up. However when you are alone you get pissed and swear at yourself! This activity did bring plenty of laughs and that is one of the aspects I am looking for in this whole thing so things are going well!

DAY 1
Origami
Okay so today is the first day so I'm starting off really simple here. Or so I thought. It seems origami is a little harder than I thought it was going to be. After giving up on an advanced paper airplane I went with a panda and a hopping frog. Surprisingly I have never done origami before. An airplane was the extent of my origami abilities and even that was lacking.
Starting this today did however get me pretty excited for this. It's weird to think I will actually have something new to look forward to every day. And I also realized it might be difficult to come up with something new to do every day, but I'm in this now. No quitting.
A big part of this idea is to grow from this experience as a person, become happier, and help others in the process. Along with doing something new every day I am also trying to change the way I look at life. Life is meant to be lived, and its not all about yourself, but about those around you. For example, I pulled over my truck today to take a barrel out of the middle of the road. It is simple tasks like this that can add up and make a big difference. But,anyways, check out my origami below! I'll try to make the future posts more interesting! Thanks!

Something New!
Today I came up with an idea to help make my life more exciting and eventful. You only get to live life once and I want to make the best of it. Starting tomorrow I am going to do something new that I have never done before every single day. Small and large. And I am going to blog every day about what it is I did new that day. Hope some people can enjoy this and maybe get something out of it themselves! Wish me luck!
